If you’re expecting a UK QB controversy in 2017, you’ll be disappointed

The first question to Mark Stoops at the Kentucky football coach’s Monday news conference previewing Wildcats spring practice was about the status of injured UK quarterback Drew Barker.
Barker started Kentucky’s first three games in 2016 before a back injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. He will be trying to return in 2017 after undergoing surgery on his back last November.
“Getting better, getting better,” Stoops reported of Barker’s health. “Not at full strength, hasn’t been able to go yet.”

I continue to have very serious doubts about Barker, and Stoop's comments don't help. Clearly, he's having issues. Been having issues. Now we have Johnson, Hoak, Davis, and Williams possibly in 2018 as QBs. Pretty good group IMHO. Maybe I'll be wrong, again, but I suspect Drew will transfer between now and fall. I hope he gets a great job and makes a ton of money wherever he goes.

It sure doesn't sound good for Barker. I doubt we see him this season, if ever.

If he isn't able to go, he should go on medical scholarship.

You forgot about Danny Clark. Other than Barker, he's our highest rated QB, if you put any stock into those sort of things.

You're right.....I said Davis and meant Clark.
