If you watch week side line for GT is rolling on their blocks. Might take a 300 lb guy falling with a knee in the middle of someones back to stop some of that kind of play.

It's also an effective technique for DL to use on option offenses. People tend to forget that, in this offense, the defensive player, upright, is used as much of a blocker as is the offensive blocker who's just staying in front of him. Cutting the lineman's legs allows the linebackers to get through the first level clean.
