That's the reason I never did. My family, at least my dad's side, has very addictive personalities. My grandfather was a bad alcoholic and smoked. He quit both in the early 90s due to a heart attack scare. I have three uncles and an aunt. All smoked at one point and two uncles heavily drink/drank. One uncle died of a heart attack in his late 40s. It has probably been 45 years since my 62 year old father went a day without a beer, but he always supported us so it didn't matter. He has been with his company 42 years and never called in. He quit smoking in the 90s. My mother still smokes as well as my brother, who's also addicted to heroin. I've watched all of my family be addicted to one thing or another and said not me. I don't take medicine unless absolutely necessary. I went through a kidney stone without morphine!
