Two episodes in. Loving it so far. I don't have HBO, so I have been slow in getting it by other means. I will probably wait till the season is over, then binge watch the rest.Isaiah 5:20 -
Intriguing show. Some thoughts:
Love the stories with the scientists and the labs, although Mave having complete control over those scientists seems a little farfetched. All it would take is one gunshot to the head for her to fall back in line.
Not so keen on the stories in the actual park (seeing as how those are all fake, it's tough for there to be any dramatic heft). I'm having a hard time following those plots in the park, especially as it relates to the Maze and the Man In Black.
Enjoyed the twist with Bernard, but I sort of saw it coming.
I could watch Anthony Hopkins read the phone book. Probably our finest living actor.
Beautiful cinematography. Obviously, HBO drained the bank accounts for this one, and while the narrative has flaws, the pictures are flawless.
Looking forward to seeing where it goes, but hoping it doesn't continuing going down the JJ Abrams Mystery Box Rabbit Hole, where it gets so convoluted that it's impossible to make sense of (ala "Lost").

I had a conversation with a friend about the hosts' storylines. We both feel the same as you about the lack of weight/importance. When you know the stories are fabricated for robots, it's tough to feel totally invested. But, I also had this thought: if Arnold somehow transferred his consciousness to a host, or some other digital format, then we might get the hosts' stories because they're going to play a role in connecting with a digital version of Arnold. Otherwise, I got nothin'.
No clue what to expect with the maze or the MiB's endgame, but I think his origin/identity is pretty obvious at this point.Last edited by George; 11-17-2016, 07:20 PM.Comment
