There are several that I enjoyed their posts that are no longer posting here. I wonder what happened to them?

I purchase the Reaper Squeezins sauce from Puckerbutt. Puckerbutt products are the real deal. There's another one hotter than the Ghost pepper but not as hot as the Reaper. It's called the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. Before anyone tries the Reaper, you might want to go back and read my post no. 20.

Yes, I doubt I will try the Reaper. I think the ghost pepper will probably kill me.

Year before last, I purchased some liquid Capsaicin from Pure Evil. It is rated at 13 million SHU (pure Capsaicin is 16 million SHU). Talk about some seriously hot stuff.

Is it just about seeing how much you can tolerate, or does it add "taste"?

I can't hardly do spicy food at all, not because they hurt but because that sort of heat seems to take away from the experience for me. But I sort of get wanting to see how much a person can take, sort of like a contest of wills or something.

The hottest thing I've ever seen was a dish my wife ordered at an Asian restaurant. It came out of the kitchen and started burning my eyes. We couldn't even get the fork up to our mouths with the stuff on it (and my wife likes spicy food). Got a free desert out of it because the server had assured us "it's not that hot."

No taste, just an intense burning sensation. I guess part of it is being able to do something that not everyone can do. Also, I believe the capsaicin is addictive. I eat something mind blowing hot every day. I take my bottle to the restaurants with me and if I happen to forget it, it's like I really miss it a lot.

It's not something a person would want to begin at the top with. About 40 years ago, I began eating cayenne pepper. It reached the point where I would sit down and eat 10 or 12 big pods with my evening meal w/o feeling any heat. I moved up to Japalenos and the same thing happened. I then began eating Habaneros, then Bhut Jalokia (Ghost Pepper), Trinidad Scorpion Butch T and I have eaten a Carolina Reaper (officially the world's hottest pepper). As you can see, I built up a tolerance for what I was eating and then moved up to the next one in line. I guess you could say it's kind of like training to box or play fb. After awhile you get used to it and the pain is tolerable.

I think all of the peppers have a distinct taste to them. Habaneros taste different than serranos, and Ghost peppers and Carolina Reapers have a different flavor that's their own as well.

Wife got me some Carolina Reaper peanuts for Christmas. The tube of terror. https://www.restockmart.com/products...n-planet-earth I didn't know I was supposed to eat the entire tube without liquids for 30 minutes after consumption. I've had a few out of the tube and they're extremely hot.

I can eat habaneros raw, but the ghost and reaper peppers have to be with food. I've got some Mrs Renfro's Ghost Pepper salsa that's excellent.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Today I learned there's a hot sauce called Puckerbutt...

I went to Joella's Hot Chicken and ordered the second hottest option available and thought I might die. I heard a comedian joke one time that he wanted to be a boxer until he got in the ring with a guy who really wanted to be a boxer.

I thought I liked spicy foods until I read this post with people who really like spicy foods.

Actually, there are several Puckerbutt sauces of varying degrees of heat. I keep a bottle of the Reaper Squeezins', which is their hottest sauce, on hand. The Puckerbutt Co. was started by Ed Currie who came up with, the world's hottest comercially available pepper, the Carolina Reaper.

If you ever ingest something that is too hot, if it's available, drink milk. Milk is, by far, the best thing to drink.

^ I ordered the seeds for Carolina Reaper and the three pack of their sauces, with the Reaper Squeezins, Gator sauce, and their twisted take on Sriracha. USPS delivered it while I was away at work, so currently they at Hager Hill Post Office. I've yet to read of any fires occurring there....
