We decided to check this place out yesterday since we heard so many good things about it......if you are a lover of different types of beers it is a must
I don't get the love affair with Yuengling. Sure it tastes fine, but it's nothing special. I think the appeal is that it was impossible to get here for the longest time, and if you could get some then it just kinda added to the mystique. But different strokes for different folks, and I get that. Give me some Founders or Schlafly or Great Lakes any day of the week over Yuengling. I need to make it out to WOB. Going to Cabelas next week so I will check it out for sure. Maybe even pick up some Mellow Mushroom.

That's one of the reasons why I like it. Craft beers and small brewers are fine; they produce some great stuff. But I like that Yuengling is a basic beer that's a step above the BCMs. I don't feel like I'm drinking swill, but I don't feel pretentious about it, either.
Not getting on you Downes as I like it too. I have just been around a lot of guys that ask for it when it's around and when drinking it, they have that what the hell did I just drink look on their face. Throw it in front of me and I am gladly enjoying it. BTW, did this beer ever make it here? I had heard that it was going to start being shipped to Kentucky but that was a while back.

No worries. I hear where you're coming from. If I were trying it for the first time based on reputation alone, I'd probably expect something world-class, too.
Last I heard it still wasn't being distributed in much of Kentucky. I live in northeast TN, though, so it's all over the place here. Strange thing is I had my first Yuengling in Lexington about 13 or 14 years ago. My brother-in-law is from the place where its brewed, and I drove up to Lexington to visit him and my sister once. While there, he tells me that I have to try this beer from back home. He went to Rite-Aid and came back with Yuengling Light, regular, and Black & Tan. So I know for a fact that it's been sold in KY before, but I'm not sure why it isn't anymore.
