Well I love Sundays, and always have. When I was growing up, I went to Church first. Then home to Mom's fried in lard, chicken with lots of potatoes and vegetables. Then either off to play baseball, or just sit around and Mom would make home-made ice cream. The only problem, I had to finish turning the crank on the freezer because I was the oldest. In the winter, we popped corn and played Rook or Rummy. Of course any night the Wildcats were on the radio, we didn't miss a word.

I don't know that I would enjoy being fried in lard..............Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

I used to like Thursdays (I was on flex time and had Fridays off), but didn't like Sundays because of returning to work on Mondays. Now that I'm retired, all days are about alike.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

I used to have a similar feeling regarding Sunday nights however in the last few years we have started a bit of a tradition in my house. I usually grill on my BGE something special (Ribeyes, salt-slab fish, tri-tip etc.). It has to a certain extent taken the place our Sunday after church meal. My wife likes it because she doesnt have to cook and my two kids like it because we usually have something really good - and I like it because we are all together. I started doing this after noticing a friend of mine do the same, but his kids are older and they would come home for the Sunday night meal (with boyfriends and girlfriends). I hope my kids will do the same when they are out of the house. They call me "Thread Killer"
