    Pituitary tumor

I have been diagnosed with a large 2.4cm pituitary macroadenoma. I was wondering if any here has had any experience with this? I saw an endicrinologist today. They took some blood and gave me a 24 hour urine bottle, but it'll be a week or so before I find anything out. The tumor is benign, and I understand that treatment usually goes well, whether that be with medication, surgery or radiation. I'll admit that I've been a little on edge since the MRI. That MRI wouldn't have come about if I hadn't fainted on September 18. I fell in a friends pond while fishing and I just thank God that he was there with me or I would've drowned. The cardiologist found nothing heart related. I was meant to faint or I would not have known about this tumor. If anyone can has had one, I would appreciate them sharing their experience. If you could also pass along some encouragement or prayer I would greatly appreciate it.

The tumor being benign is key, as I'm sure you know. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

      Glad you caught it!

Benign is good. Hang in there.

I don't know where you live; but the Markey Cancer Center at UK took great care of both my Mom and Dad. I have nothing but good things to say about the care.

My Dad didn't even have cancer but needed to see a world class thoracic surgeon and they were willing to see him. Great people.

Best of luck to you. Benign is very good and the best news you could have about that. Other than lend you my prayers I can't offer anymore about this but I'm sure you will be just fine.

BH, I wish nothing but the very best for you. You're a "good fella" for sure, and thank goodness that the event leading to this finding ended how it did. I'm confident that you will do well and will be able to again enjoy a clean bill of health.

Thanks for the comment folks. I'm sure I'll be fine but it's the not knowing that is killing me. It is compressing on my optic nerve but the opthamologist said I have nothing to worry about for now. I've been praying for a quick diagnosis and recovery and I hope that is in God's plans.

Well,if you know Jesus as your personal Savior, you already know everything about you is in God's plan. I will certainly be praying with you.

Father, we know You are the Great Physician, and You are in the healing business. I ask You in the Name of Jesus to heal this tumor, and we will be careful to give You all the praiset. In Jesus Name, Amen.

So I am having surgery this Monday to get this thing out of my head. I'm looking forward to feeling much better and getting my energy and eyesight back, For the last year or so, it feels like I have been hit by a truck daily.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.
