    Shave Clubs

I've been toying with the idea of joining one. There are several out there, with the Dollar Shave Club appearing to be the most well known. I was wondering if any of the WCN members belong to one and, if so, what you think of it? Thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

I joined Dollar Shave Club about two years ago. The razor felt dull after one shave so I cancelled immediately, but maybe I just got a bad razor or something. I have considered trying them again and give them another shot. There's really no harm in joining up for a month to test it out because you can cancel at anytime with no penalty.

Harry's is another option. I haven't used them personally but I have a friend who swears by them.
Shaving is evolving. Never buy overpriced razors again. Get Harry's German engineered blades and shaving cream online for a fair price.

I like it when people post links.

Tried Dollar Shave a while back and didn't care for it. It's convenient, but the quality wasn't great. Besides, I switched to a straight blade and dumped cartridge razors all together. The difference is tremendous.

I've used Dollar Shave Club for 3+ years now. I get the fourX (four blade head) refills. I shave my head and my face. While the remaining hair on my head isn't terribly dense, my facial hair IS terribly dense. I could probably shave twice a day if the need called for it. One blade head will last me a week and a half.

$6 / month, no shipping cost. I get as close a shave as I did with the Gillette Fushion blades.

Also use a shaving mug, badger shave brush and Cremo shaving cream.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

At my age, shaving with a straight razor isn't an option, if you know what I mean.

MD, have you ever thought of using a double sided safety razor and wet shaving? Back in the good old days, before our site was attacked, we had a thread or three on shaving, and some of youse guys and UK78ALUM got me to experiment with that. I don't do it very often due to time constraints, but when I can I find it relaxing and fairly successful. I use a Gillette safety razor and typically Proraso shaving cream.
