    5 Albums/CDs you'd want on a desert island

If you could only listen to 5 albums/CDs for the rest of your days - what would they be?

I'm going to have to think about this for a while. I love listening to music different genres from 1955-79 so this is going to be difficult for me.

      ^Yeah, me too.

I'm pretty sure I'd have Quadrophenia by The Who (hard to leave off Who's Next, but, imo, Entwistle is somehow even better on Quadrophenia)
I'm torn between Hot Rocks, v1 and Exile on Main Street from the Stones - a lot of their great early hits/classics on HR, but, damn, EoMS has SO many absolute killer songs

Those above, for sure. After that...?
-Surely there's a compilation of either Motown or Stax from the 60s and I'd have to have one of them
      -Making Movies by Dire Straits
      -Boston's first album
-Compilation of Chess Records blues artists
      -CCR Chronicle
-What's the Story Morning Glory by Oasis
      -Rumors by Fleetwood Mac
There are several more albums that I think/thought were nearly flawless but I don't know if they would make the cut if I had to limit it to five.

For my island collection, I can safely rule out: the Beatles, Dylan, heavy metal, anything later than about 1996, classic country (although Red Dirt country might sneak in there), Led Zeppelin, Skynyrd (would love to include the Allmans but which one?), grunge, Eagles, Springsteen, U2, other 'huge' artists that I may like but not in a 5-album collection.

      It's a tough question.
