NWS just sent some slides to use at work. They are forecasting 12-15" in Frankfort where I am. Bad part is that it has shifted north and southern KY is going to see more ice than originally planned. Govenor has issued a state of emergency about an hour ago.

I'm in the southcentral part of the state as of now TWC is saying we could get 5-7 in. of snow and 1 to 4 tenths of ice.

Just heard on the radio the NWS says 12-20 inches of snow over the weekend for Lexington. Didn't hear what they said about ice, which is the part that concerns me the most.
People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Agree, Rick. Ice is a bear. It doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you have. If you're trying to drive on ice about all you can do is the best you can and hope for the best. Also, ice makes it dangerous, more so than snow, if you have to go outside. These are just my opinions of course.

I'm glad we do have a generator
I've got a generator too. I bought one several years ago. It just recently got recalled. Took it back to Costo and got a refund. Went home and ordered another and just received maybe a month ago. Got it unboxed, finally, and charged up yesterday so I think I'm ready. Solar panels next to my back door LOL!!!

It started here about an hour or so ago. It's not snowing very hard yet but our driveway and yard are already white.

Lexington is setting up to get about 8 inches which is better than some of the forecasts this week. It started snowing just before 2pm. Appears to be about .25 on the ground after 45 minutes.

Been snowing awhile here. Hasn’t covered the ground. Local news will be on in a few minutes. Wondering if totals will drop.

We supposed to get a wintery mix this evening changing over to freezing rain tonight with significant icing expected.

Not supposed to get the ice. Stay safe. Hope you don’t lose your power.
