    RIP Ace Frehley

I air guitared his KISS Alive 2 Shock Me solo too many times to count as a kid. KISS was a huge part of me growing up in the 70s. Had all the albums and my wall was covered in their posters.

Loved that video! Been a long time since I've seen it. It's one of my favorite KISS songs along with Strutter and Love Gun. There's only one thing about KISS I'd like to forget- KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park. I remember being so excited to watch it and being disappointed when it was over. It was terrible.

I only have a vague recollection of that flick. I assume it was not very good, otherwise I would probably have watched it over and over as I was prone to do as a kid.

Something unusual happened, don't you think? I mean, just a few weeks ago, it was reported that he fell and hurt himself and he needed to postpone some gigs. Then, suddenly, he has to cancel the entire tour. Then suddenly he's on death's door and now he's gone. The initial information must have been very watered down for what seemed like 'a fall' to lead to his death a few weeks later.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I have never been a fan of the band nor of his guitar playing, although he's >>> Paul Stanley. But, even a non-fan such as me has to give him and the band their props as they have millions of fans and thousands of guitarists have cited Ace as one of their faves/influences.
