Does anyone else share my opinion that Starbucks coffee is WAY overrated? While I'll grab one when necessary, their coffee always tastes slightly burned, which is not a flavor I want. We've bought several different varieties of their beans over the years and we've always felt disappointed that the coffee wasn't very good.

I like Starbucks Sumatra and Blonde beans, but I rarely go an actual shop. We did go to one of their roasterys in Seattle and that was a great experience.

I will give a shout out to McDonald’s coffee though.

It tastes like the beans were roasted under the space shuttle. But every coffee in Germany tastes like that so post vacation years ago I acquired a taste for it. I prefer their dark roast to Pike.

Starbucks Verdana Blonde. (Doesn’t taste burned)
Half and half. Sweetened with raw honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I was a hard core coffee drinker. i liked mine strong enough to stand a screwdriver up in it. Hell, I'd chew it like snuff if I could. Then one day I figured out Caffeine is a killer. Gave up coffee and cigs almost 30 years ago, haven't looked back.
The value of time is beyond computation. Life is too short to be trifled away. We have but a few days of probation in which to prepare for eternity.

When my Mother was sick, coffee upset her stomach. Sumatra is low acid and she could tolerate a cup or 2.

I've read articles both ways either avoid it like the plague or a cup or two a day won't hurt. I suspect it might be like most things, abuse is bad, moderation may not be a big deal.

We mostly brew Half Caf. I like a cup or 2 of the real stuff.

I've never tried half caf. I usually have two mugs a day with breakfast unless I'm eating out. Then I have a cup or two with my meal.
