They're 21-71 and a cool 34.5 GB in their division. They've been outscored by 243 runs thus far in the season. If they were in the same division, they'd be 9 (or 10, I forget) GB the team with the 2nd worst record in MLB (the White Sox, again). They have 70 games left. If they win 20 of those games (.286 winning %), they would tie the all-time worst record. Their current winning % is .228, so they'd have to play significantly better these last 70 games (if their current winning % was .286, they'd have 26 wins or >30% more than they have currently). At the current pace, they could be eliminated pretty early in August. Embarrassing.

Full disclosure: I only know this because we lived in the Denver area for 7 years before retiring and moving to FL last year, but still look at their box scores. In general, I don't follow MLB much at all but I would go see the Rockies play a couple of times a year when I lived there.

I’ve been out in Denver for the last 8ish years and this season has been the most Rockies talk ever, not good. The ownership doesn’t seem to care, as most people just go to the games to go. Not a big baseball guy, but their level of suck is something.
