    Here’s something not all that rare but I have never seen one before. I took this photo of a Snowberry Clearwing moth visiting my wife’s butterfly bush. Plus a little info.

      I remember rare times when these summer rains can appear to be raining on one side of the street and sun shining on the other side. Just this past week, I was out walking my dog and I could see a wall of rain just across the field. When it got to me, there were no sprinkles, just an instant downpour. I finally captured one in a photo.

          Ah… the locust. We had them last year. Yeah they were a mess. You couldn’t sit outside in peace. They even look evil. LOL.

          I call them locusts but I think they are actually Periodical Cicadas

            Took this from my back porch when we lived near Denver. Moon setting over the Rockies right about sunrise. Thought the pic was pretty cool.

                  Suummer locusts I don’t mind. This is a 17 year cicada. Also damaged our trees
