    Batten Down The Hatches

It looks as if it's going to be a wet remainer of the week throughout most of the south. For those traveling, in that direction, or throughout most of Ky., use extreme caution.

I usually go to the Cracker Barrel on Fri. afternoon. I have a feeling me and the Mrs. may be eating egg sandwiches this Fri.

I think about tornadoes that can accompany these storms. Stay safe as you can everyone.

Getting devices charged. Fortunately we have a gas stove so no worries staying tonight for supper. I have a 3 pm appointment I really want to be able to go to. Stay safe folks. They keep raising the possible rain totals and wind gusts.

Following the weather, but hoping you all will keep us updated from where you are. Take care.

We're (here in Corbin) under a High Wind Warning and a Flood Watch until 8:00 P.M. tonight. Flooding is not a problem where we live, but the wind could be as we have several trees in our yard that could hit the house if they fell in the right, or should I say wrong, direction. Also our yard is ringed with trees some of which could reach the house if they fell.

Oh gosh. I used to love the trees around my house, but after storms here and the damage that followed, they’re a concern. Hoping yours make it through the wind with no damage. I had a big, old tree taken down at my daughter’s house in Lexington. It was mostly hollow at the time. Dangerous. You all stay safe.

Things are pretty quiet here right now. I hope it's not the calm before the storm.

So far we haven’t lost power. I’m thinking we probably won’t. Grateful as my sister in law, in St Matthews, lost power and has a house full of out of town guests

We're still under the wind warning until 8:00 P.M. It's a little breezy right now, nothing major and the sun's out.

I hope you all got through that okay. My daughter said they had some substantial winds, tree limbs down, and trees uprooted in the neighborhood. Power’s out and has been since noon.

We made it just fine, thanks. We had lots of wind (nothing like what was possible) and some rain. We have some debris to clean up in the yard and driveway. We are very blessed.
