    SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Mark’s aunt turned 101 in February. Up until 3 months ago lived by herself. She joined the Marines circa 1944. She has to be one of the oldest, if not the oldest female Marine. How can I find out? Thought about contacting our local VFW. Her short term memory isn’t real good, but she always has said her happiest time was her time in the core.

Her story is impressive. VFW can’t be a wrong move to start investigating, or a letter to the Marine Corp. Only other suggestion might carry with it privacy concerns. Our local news has an investigative team that has helped find other answers. Pretty sure there would be something similar in your area. But, like I said, I would have concerns for her privacy.

Congratulations to her for her accomplishments, in life experiences and longevity. And good luck to you all. I hope your question is answered.

She has no short term memory. A group of retired marines visited her The 4th. She was giddy with excitement. The next day she barely remembered it.

I’m sorry to hear that, but long term memory is a good thing.

Hi Cathy. Have you tried the Marines' website?

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.
