I smuggle Yuengling back across the border into KY every opportunity I get to do so. I like it because at this point....it reminds me of the beach because that is normally where I get a chance to drink it.

When in a Mex restaurant I will always do the XX amber, big one. Though if Modelo is offered on draft...I opt for that.

Inlaws just brought me 2 cases of Yuengling 2 weeks ago from Tennessee. Nice smooth beer on a hot day.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

My brother-in-law was an assistant manager at Big Ben National Park in southwest Texas 25 years ago. Lot of Mexican immigrants worked for the park service in maintenance. He asked what they drank in Mexico. They drank Bud and Bud Light. To them, the worst beer made in Mexico was Corona. They didn't understand why Americans liked it..
Talked to a guy years ago and he said when he was in a pub in Australia he asked for a Fosters. He goes on to say that just about everyone in the bar started laughing. He said nobody over there drinks that crap.

^ In ye olde days of WCN, prior to our attack from ISIS, a person posted in the Beer of Choice thread, "If beer could piss, it would piss Michelob Ultra". This was in response to a post from a gentleman we had to ban

When I was stationed out west I spent a lot of time in El Paso and Juarez. No one drank that nasty ass Dos Equis or Corona, locals or military. Tecate was the most popular back then and it wasn't even close. Much more Tecate came back over the bridge than any other brand. A lot of Mezcal and Kahlua, too, but that's a different discussion.

Back in our WCF days Mel made a deal with Mere Bulles in Nashville to host a pep rally(sure Bob remembers this). They had a huge overstock of Heineken so they put them on special for the pep rally at $1 per. I paid three times the price for other options. Just don't get the following of that gross beverage.

Glad to see all the love for Yuengling. If anybody back Lexington way needs a hookup for it I will be glad to haul some that way on my trips. Cory and I have been keeping the tailgates well stocked with it!

Glad to see this. My buddy and I drank this pretty regularly when he was here for med school. He's Mexican and occasionally spent time with some cousins in Mexico. He told me once that they consider Tecate to be a "breakfast beer."

Travel a lot for work and usually have a craft brew with dinner and the bartenders tell me that IPA's are the favorite style ordered by craft beer drinkers. I traveled to San Francisco, Denver, Charleston, Dallas, NYC and Anaheim last couple of months so the IPA style seems to be popular around the country from my informal poll.

Here in Northern Virginia a small new brewery called Lost Rhino has my favorite IPA called "Face Plant".

Can you recall his user name? Not BenH but came along shortly thereafter. Loved "Burger" Beer.
I still enjoy Bitburger quite well, for what little it is worth. I need to try Tecate some time.

My favorite is Leinenkugels sunset wheat.....

But usually I drink lite beers like Bud, Miller, or Natty.

I prefer Captain n coke, or whiskey but the summertime is more of beer drinking weather.
