    Dabney Coleman, Emmy-winning actor from '9 to 5', 'Tootsie', dies at 92

    Dabney Coleman, the Emmy-winning TV and film actor who starred in "9 to 5," "Tootsie" and "On Golden Pond," has died.

    He was 92 years old.

    Coleman "took his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitely" Thursday afternoon at his home in Santa Monica, California, his daughter, Quincy Coleman, said in a statement on Friday that was provided to USA TODAY by his manager.

    Better if he was from Kentucky, but I was surprised he was from Austin. RIP Dabney Coleman, a figure in his field for so many years.

      Speaking of Ky., it's surprising, to me, how many well-known actors were from Ky.

          Here are a few more: Warren Oates (Depoy, Ky.), Harry Dean Stanton (West Irvine, Ky.), Ned Beatty (Louisville, Ky.) and George Clooney (Lexington, Ky.). I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind.
