    Former first lady Rosalynn Carter, who transformed the role of first lady, dies at 96

    Former first lady Rosalynn Carter, the devoted wife of the nation's 39th president and a tireless advocate for mental health care, has died.

    The Carter Center confirmed that she died Sunday morning at her home in Plains, Georgia at the age of 96.

    The former first lady and former President Jimmy Carter were married for 77 years.

          Oh, no. I spent some time last night looking at their photos throughout the years, and left off at Jimmy Carter’s quotes. I had intended to finish today with hers. As someone who lived through it, it wasn’t a great presidency, but a great man (and woman). Will spend the time tonight I had intended, to read more of what she had written.
