      True, but there's listings that adjust for inflation and many of the older movies hold up quite well. Gone With the Wind comes to mind.

          Jaws- Has to be on here because it literally scared the hell out of anyone who was around during that time. And it still does. Because of this movie I WILL NOT swim in the ocean. If it gets to my waist im outta there!

                  I think Frozen upended Avatar as the #1 movie. Assuming this article is right, it has Avatar at #2 and Frozen at #1.
