27 Years Ago Today - Robin Ventura Makes a Poor Decision

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

My all time favorite fight in any sport. I remember that vividly. Guess he thought he could take the old man. You don't mess with Texas!

I remember the fight. Ventura didn't have a chance.

LOL. I thought it was longer than 27 years. Great example why I continue to be a supporter of corporal punishment. Nothing like a good arse whoopin' to get somebody's attention.

I remember seeing it on ESPN's highlights the night of the game. I thought Ryan was in his early 40s - 42 maybe. I forgot that he was 46 when it happened. He was still hitting the mid 90s on the heater, too.

I've never understood, when they're going into a fight, why fb players remove their helmets and baseball players take their batting helmets off?
