This is a really good show that can be appreciated by even non star wars fans. Like all previous star wars movies, this is played out like a western. What makes it so good, though, is there is a lot of action packed shootouts. The Mandalorian has a dark, gritty edge that was missing from previous movies. Not much humor either. There are tons of easter eggs and nods to the franchise that will be picked up on. The episodes only run around 30 minutes so it's easy to binge this if one wants to wait for all the episodes to drop. I have been a Star Wars fan since I saw the original about six times in the theater in 1977. I have a good grasp on all things Star Wars and IMO, The Mandalorian is the best thing this franchise has had going for it in quite a few years. As far as being a pure joy to watch, this is right up there with ESB. Maybe even better.
