Broke down and bought a Crockpot Multicooker. Meijers was having a good sale on them. Looks like it does the same thing as the Instapot brand. Anybody know of a difference before I open and use it
?
Can't say anything about a difference, but sounds like you got the best of both worlds I suppose. We LOVE our instapot. Plus they seem a lot less dangerous than old style pressure cookers. I heard stories when I was much younger about exploding pots. My buddies Mom swore off of them forever after hers exploded. He gave me the pot (the lid was toast). Makes for a good chili/soup pot.

Did it actually explode, or did the stem/valve blow out of the top of it? That's happened with one my mom had when we were growing up. Beef pot roast and grease all over the ceiling above the stove.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

That's what it did Surveyor. I used a poor choice of words there, but yeah. Their kitchen was an absolute MESS after that.
I have a newer pressure cooker. Use it all the time. No thingy jiggling on top. I watch it closely after it comes up to steam then turn it down. I have a gas stove so regulating the heat is easy and immediate. My Mom used one often. Used mine a couple of nights ago. Haven't used the "multicooker" yet. My daughter loves hers and I have gotten rave reviews of them.
A quick internet search will show tons of recipes.
Sure, but I think they're looking for first-hand experience from people they're familiar with.

Yes. Joker Phillips, Bill Curry and Billy Gillispie were bad at coaching. I’m even worse at cooking. I’d love to know of some really easy and simple things that even I can’t mess up, or at least might get right.

What I do...we try to eat 4 to 5 nights at home. Sunday’s or early Monday morning I make a list of 4 main courses to fix. Then make my grocery list accordingly. Will make one an Instapot meal. For example; am fixing a chicken casserole for tomorrow. Just did a rotisserie style whole chicken in the Instapot. Super easy. Pulled the white meat off for the casserole. Legs, thighs, wings will be my lunch. This chicken weighed a little over 4 lbs. $3.75. Can’t mess it up. Will post more easy meals as I use it.
I use the Crock pot a lot these days..hubby works nights.. we are always running and picking up grandkids from school.....need to things to be fast and easy
Hello All! You may see some things bouncing around, colors changing, and functionality being added and removed as we look at how to make some requested...
