    Prayers Please! "UPDATE"

I'm sending this from Baptist East Hospital. I will have an echocardiogram today, probably a heart cath Monday and if it shows what they think it will, I will my aortic valve replaced very soon. I covet your prayers, more for Phyllis and our family than for me. Either way it goes, My Lord has it covered.

Wow. I remember you bringing this up not too long ago that you were having issues with your aortic valve. I had mine replaced seven years. I opted to have a hog valve replacement. I root around in my yard alot . I was sore for a while but having the new valve was a huge and immediate improvement. Hang in there. I'll be thinking about you and yours.

My aortic valve has been given a severe diagnosis. I will have a CT scan tomorrow and released from hospital. Then Tuesday the valve will be replaced with a tissue valve. Not sure if it will be a cow or pig valve. It's called a Traver. I guess I'll either Moo or root.

A HUGE Thanks to those who have responded and are praying!

I am home now. My surgery to replace my aortic valve will be Tuesday AM, I have to be at Baptist East at 5 AM. My surgeons are Dr's. Dillon and Khan, and I would ask for you to add them to your prayers for me. This is humbling me folks, but I'm at peace with it because I serve an awesome God. I have no idea where each of you stand with God, that's totally between you and Him, but if you want to know more about Him feel free to call me at 502-523-2137.

                Prayers, LH.

Seems aortic valve replacements are becoming a thing. Wife of a friend had hers replaced a couple of months ago at 53. She's otherwise fit, hikes Chimney Tops and other Smoky trails when they go.

A few friends of my inlaws as well as the mayor of one of the municipalities we work with are having similar issues.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

You got this Steve. Like Surveyor said, those operations are a common thing now it seems. A good friend at work had his replaced a few years ago. He is doing wonderfully and said he almost immediately felt better. I will not only pray for you and your family and the surgeons, but also all who will be involved in your procedure.

Well here's how the last 13 days have gone. I went to the ER on Friday the 26th and was admitted. After an Echo, several EKG's an ultrasound and CAT-Scan, I came home on the 1st. Went back to hospital at 5AM on the 7th. They went through my groin and replaced my aortic valve with a beef flesh valve. Here it is the 8th and I'm home, bruised, sore and very tired but with all the prayers I and my Dr's had, I feel really good.
