Fleetwood Mac boots Buckingham from the Band

Fleetwood Mac has fired longtime member Lindsey Buckingham and will replace him with Neil Finn and Hearbreakers' Mike Campbell on tour.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

"You can go your own way!"

Seriously, I loved Fleetwood Mac at one point and still like 'em a lot. There has to be a time when bands realize it's time to ride off in the sunset. Unfortunately they just haven't figured it out yet.

We saw Stevie Nicks not too many years ago in the DC area. She was great. She sounded the same as she always did. I had always wanted to see her and her guitarist do Edge of Seventeen. They didn't disappoint.

I think Buckingham has always been the "black sheep" of Fleetwood Mac. It seems like I have seen or read that he has been in and out with them the entire time of this band. They are fabulous. The Rumors album is one the iconic albums of the pop era.
        Kentucky fan since 1971.

The Rumours album punctuated the end of Nicks-Buckingham's relationship. Great album, but almost broke up the band for good. Buckingham has left a number of times for a solo career that's never really gained traction.

I sometimes get the impression he'd prefer to be the decision maker for the band, even though it carries Mick Fleetwood's name and is essentially run by committee.

Absolutely the Rumors album is an all time fave of mine. Thanks Mom and Dad for listening to good music when I was a kid!
