I wasn't very familiar with the other 3, but surprised that Thome had 612 HRs. Guerrero had impressive stats in 16 years - .318 BA and 449 HRsExtremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Guererro wasn't bad either. He OPS'd over .900 for his career. Hit 449 home runs with over 2500 hits for a lifetime batting average of over .310. He played for quite a few teams is why he may not seem as good as he was to most people.Last edited by KevinHall; 01-25-2018, 01:56 PM.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

I wasn't real familiar with Guerrero because he played for every team I had no interest in. Same with Jim Thome for the biggest part of his career. Hard to see Expos and Indians games locally at the time. Ditto for Hoffman and the Padres.
In those days with cable, Braves and Cubs ruled the airwaves - at least here locally they did.Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.
