Like a lot of folks, I am cooking more. Need some recipe suggestions. I feel like I cook the same things all the time. My hubby eats more of a variety then he did when we first married. Some things are prohibited. Tuna noodle casserole is one of them. Suggestions welcomed 🙂Comment

HELP! Need recipe ideas. I cook a lot. Love casseroles. Last new recipe I tried was an Egg Roll Bowl. It is egg role ingredients w/o the fried wrapper. Makes a lot and was very good. Made with ground beef. Finally found a bag of large dried butter beans. Will be making a pot of beans soon.Comment

Great to see this thread has sprung back to life!! Salsa is one of the best things that comes from my garden. Tomatoes, assorted peppers, garlic, onion, oregano.......I throw a big mess in a turkey roasting pan, and roast it well(the juice left over is delicious). Add fresh lime juice, raw honey, cumin, cilantro and blend. I only have 9 pints left to get me to August. It won't last.👍 2Comment

I have never put honey in mine. Since cilantro is ready before tomatoes, etc., I freeze it. It gets soggy anyway. Have never roasted it. Might have to try it.Great to see this thread has sprung back to life!! Salsa is one of the best things that comes from my garden. Here is our recipe for WCN Tailgate Hot Dog Sauce. One of our most requested recipes. It is a variation of a very popular Paintsville Dairy Queen Chili Dog Sauce.
• 3 lbs ground beef
• 1 cup water
• 1 bottle(18 ounce) ketchup
• 1 can tomato puree (10.25 ounce)
• 1/2 bottle dehydrated onions (4 tablespoons)
• 1 tsp Accent
• 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
• 1 TBL + 1 tsp chili powder
• 2 tsp dry mustard
• 1 tsp celery seed
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp Worcestershire
• 1 tsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp each black pepper & salt
• pinch of brown sugar
• 1 TBL apple cider vinegar
Combine ground beef and water. Cook until beef is done, do not drain. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
