Quite possibly the toughest guy I have ever seen. When you look up "man" in the dictionary, his picture should be there. I remember watching his documentary some years ago on PBS and to this day I never miss an opportunity if I know it's on. The book is great as well. If you love the outdoors you will love this. If you don't, you dang sure should appreciate it.

Thanks for posting. I hadn't heard of him but am very interested in the subject matter. He was a fantastic builder and wood worker. Made that stuff look WAY easier than it is.Quite possibly the toughest guy I have ever seen. When you look up "man" in the dictionary, his picture should be there. Yeah he was good at what he did. This was a shorter version of the documentary. There is also a video of him going back to the cabin some years after his health forced him to leave. If I remember correctly he was only gonna stay a year after building the cabin but wound up staying something like 25 or 30 years.Isaiah 5:20Comment
