The Pete Dye Course in French Lick was $310 to play last year, but if you booked a stay-n-play at French Lick Resort, total was $180 per person, per night. That deal is gone now, since the Senior PGA returns to the course this year in July. It's a great course to walk, but it's extremely hilly. Lots of shuttles from the parking lot to the main venue area at the club house due to the incline and number of elderly patrons.

Is a bucket list supposed to be things one actually intends to do or things one day dreams of doing that likely aren't going to happen?

Sounds about right. I haven't been to Hilton Head in about 7 years, but last I checked it was $280 for the morning and $240 for the afternoon. I believe there was a twilight special after 3 or 4 pm that allowed you to play for $180.

I think bucket list items are meant to be attainable goals, however lofty and/or outside of the norm.

Ok. I had a relative once imply that I was a loser for not having a bucket list. I could talk all day long about exotic travel and adventures I would like to pursue but I only really rough out actionable plans when time, money, and opportunity present itself. Almost every great trip I have taken was done with less than 4 months notice.

So... items I am currently working on.

                1. Helping first born reliably use the toilet rather than defecating in his pants because he can't be bothered to stop playing
                2. Participate in a USPSA match and not be a total embarrassment to myself and others
                3. Achieve a Grand Master classification in USPSA
                4. Learn more about long distance shooting to reliably hit a 6 inch target at 500 yards
                5. Loose 5% body fat without dropping below 218lbs
                6. Read the next 5 books on my list THIS year

I know I know, big dreams... LOL

See a moonbow over Cumberland Falls. Living out of state and working have made the timing difficult. Conditions have to be just right.

I got to see it one time back around 1995. I think that was the last time I was at Cumberland Falls too. It is very nice. You have to catch a full moon and a clear night to see it.

I'm going to keep trying. Drove a thousand miles a couple of years ago, but there was a slight enough haze that it didn't happen

Believe it or not, this is the first I've heard of the moonglow over Cumberland Falls. Lived in Kentucky all my life, I guess I'll try to get down there.

Moonbow. You should try to get down there to see it. Only one other one in the world and it's in Africa. Find a time with a full moon and hope for a clear night.

I guess it's just what a person's interested in, but I've lived within 20 mi. of Cumberland Falls for approx. 65 years and have never seen the moonbow. In fact, I haven't been to the Falls in years. Back in the early 2000's, my wife and I rented a place on Hilton Head Island. The lady that owned it came by and we were telling her how lucky she was to be living there. She said something to the effect that she had lived in So. Car. her entire life and that it wasn't a big deal to her.

Lots of AT mentions on here. Has anyone here spent much time on it? I'd like to spend a long time on it someday, but have not done so yet.

I too would like to to go the top of Mount Rainier, and Mount Hood as well.
