Almost let this sum buck get past me. I saw The Who three times, twice with Keith Moon. Biblical. When I first heard "The Kids Are Alright" I became a Who fan. That was 1965 or 66. My older brother had a turn table and some how he ended up with a 45 of this great song. They "sounded" different from other groups. They sure played different too lol..Townshend, Moon, and Daltry were three of the great rock and roll show men ever, and all in one band. I think Townshend is one of the great rock composers to live. JMO. Great stories, great poetry, great lyrics, and great music. The thing that struck me about Townshend was he was serious about rock and music, and Who music. He had a huge ego and was a perfectionist. When you went to a Who concert you were assured the sound system would be awesome, and the band would be well rehearsed. And what a song list. EVERY song they played was a hit. Another thing was the crowd. Electric. The Who expended lots of energy during their shows and the crowd was right there with them, all sweaty and wild eyed. It was worth every cent.

That's Zack Starkey playing drums. He's Ringo Starr's son.

In the story Quadrophenia, Keith Moon is the bell boy. That's him doing most of the vocals and beating his drum kit half to death.

Who plays horns for The Who? Wrong. It's John Entwistle, the bassist. There was debate on whether he was a better bass player or horn(French, Flugel) player.

Another great song. Considering it's 53 years old this gem has sure held up well over the years.

Probably my favorite song by The Who. I like Pinball Wizard and Squeeze Box a lot also.
