      I'm 74 so I go back a bit farther.

      Cotton Nash
      Listening to Cawood
      Rupp's Runts
Vernon Hattons last second 48' basket to tie Temple and then seeing the nail driven into the floor where he shot it.
      Meeting Coach Rupp
St Louis Cardinals, Dizzy Dean, Stan Musial, and many others up to now.
Playing on the 1972 ASA Slow-pitch Softball National Championship Team
      Secretariat
Managing the 1981 Professional National Championship Softball team, The Kentucky Bourbons
Officiating my last game at Memorial Coliseum. I had tears when I went downstairs and saw the basketball offices
Being there when Kentucky Football beat #1 LSU
Attending the 2012 National Championship FF in New Orleans with my son
Tailgating and going to the SEC BB tournaments with my WCN Family

In addition to lots of UK memories, I used to really be into pro sports so I have lots of memories from my days as a Dodgers, Colts and Celtics fan. I'll just list one of each, Koufax pitching for the Dodgers, Johnny Unitas (particularly the '58 NFL Championship game) and the Celtic glory years of Cousy, Russell et al.

Every awesome thing Derek Jeter did in the World Series.

David Rudisha set the world record in the 800M final of the 2012 London Olympics. I never thought Coe's record would be broken and to do it on that stage.... I was agape. It may be the best sports thing I have ever seen.

Had they led to championships, I would add all of Aaron Harrison's late-game tourney threes. They were spectacular in the moment, though.

I have too many to count now as I go back to around 1971 as the start of my sports fanhood.

The Big Red Machine with Rose,Bench,Perez and Morgan leading the way. There will never be a collection of great players on one team again like that.

Secretariat winning the Belmont by 10 miles. Just an amazing horse.

Miracle on Ice in 1980. I was never a big hockey fan but that team captured America like nothing else before or since. They came along during a bad time for America and gave us all hope and enthusiasm for the future.

Lots of great NFL memories especially following the Cowboys. Staubach was always my favorite and still think he is one the most underrated great QB's in NFL history.

Always great Kentucky memories. Listening to Cawood call the games and hanging on every word. The 78 championship will always be special because it was the first I got to witness.
            Kentucky fan since 1971.

Jordan's freshmen title game is one of my first college basketball memories.

I remember rooting against UNC and becoming sick of hearing "Jordan again!"

Willie Mays running the bases. His cap always came off. He's probably the best baseball player I ever saw.

One off beat one I have is from the 1976 Winter Olympics. It was Franz Klammer's downhill skiing. He had the last run of main mens event of downhill skiing. He knew what time he had to beat and did it in a thrilling ride down the mountain. It was one the most thrilling things I have ever seen.
                    Kentucky fan since 1971.

A few seared into my memory:

Secretariat winning the Triple Crown. Belmont Stakes victory still waters the eyes. I've got a signed print of that photo along the rail hanging over the fireplace.

Reds winning the `75 World Series, but the scene I most remember was Pudge hitting the homer over the green monster in Game 6 off the foul pole. IIRC, the Sox hit 5 homers in that game and tied the series at 3 each.

Cowboys heart breaking loss to Pittsburgh in the `79 Super Bowl 35-31. Even though it was a loss, ranks among the top Super Bowls played, in my book.

Kentucky winning the NCAA Championship in `78 over Duke and Givens pouring in almost half of UK's points.

Cowboys slaughter of the Bills in `93 and `94 Super Bowls.

The UK NCAA wins in 96 (should have had one in `97) 98 and 2012. Anthony Davis was a beast. I still try to imagine what we could have done if he stayed the following year.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

So many of mine are UK related, and not always in a good way.
I was there for the 97 championship game and for the Wisconsin loss. Was there the night Jon Stewart died.
But I was also there for the 98 title, Jeff Sheppard is probably my all time favorite so that was really sweet. Was there for the Harrison shots vs UL and Michigan.
