LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team has adjusted the schedule for its series with Auburn this weekend, as expected rain in the Bluegrass is fast approaching.
Kentucky and Auburn will now play a doubleheader on Friday with game one at 4 p.m. ET and game two to follow 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of game one.
Game three of the series will remain scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, but with rain expected, could move to a different slot. As of now, there will not be a game scheduled for Sunday, but play on Sunday remains an option if Saturday is deemed unplayable.
Tickets for both Friday and Saturday’s games will be eligible for entry to John Cropp Stadium on Friday. Ticketholders for Friday’s game will get priority to their seats for game one of the day, and ticket holders for Saturday’s game will get priority for game two of the doubleheader. The stadium will not clear in-between games, ensuring that tickets for either Friday or Saturday’s originally-scheduled games are good for admission for both games.
Ticket holders for Sunday’s originally-scheduled game will now be valid for game three of the series on Saturday, April 5.
Both games Friday will be shown on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app. Saturday’s game remains in a national TV slot for SEC Network at 2 p.m. ET. The doubleheader Friday will air live on the UK Sports Network radio stations in the Lexington area with Keith Elkins on the call from John Cropp Stadium.
