I left the site and returned again. This time, just to see what would happen, I selected my e-mail address from the drop down list that appeared when I typed the letter "k". The site told me I had used an invalid login. I went back and typed in my name and it logged me in. ?????????

This time I left the site and then returned. The login showed that I was not logged in. Instead of logging in I went directly to the forums button, clicked it, and then selected the football forum. When the football forum came up the login at the top of the page showed me as being logged in, so the site either kept me logged in when I left and just did not show it on the home page when I came back or the site logged me in by itself when I went to the football forum.

Now I'm going to take a nap and let the brains figure this stuff out.

So sorry guys, this new software is a bit experimental and is much different than the old software. We will get it all worked out though I promise and I appreciate the patience while I figure it all out and vBulletin continues working out the bugs.

One more question: Do you guys also delete your temporary files?

My malware program does it for me so yes.

Yes. I run a program called CCleaner at least once a day......usually when I am quitting for the day so that I start clean the next day. Also my malware/antivirus program does it for me automatically and I also run a program called Malwarebytes about once a week to stop the audio ads from cropping up. Anyway, logging in twice is not a serious thing - just a little nuisance that keeps nagging away.

Came to the computer this morning to catch up. The site clearly showed I was not logged in and I thought about logging in but didn't......just browsed. After reading several threads I looked up and lo and behold I was logged in. I didn't do it. I never touched it. Cotton picker logged me in all by itself or it recovered my login from yesterday all by itself. Maybe, if a member comes to the site and stays awhile without logging in, the site picks up on it and does it for him????? This is getting to be like an itch I can't scratch. I love a good mystery.

My not having to log in was short lived too. Maybe I wasn't away long enough for it to auto log me out.

Since you posted this, I checked & see the same is happening for me. Says I'm not logged in when I get here, but after clicking onto a few threads - 1? 2? 3? - it shows me logged in. Thanks. I suppose that's what's been happening all along & I didn't know to just go ahead & start browsing.

I changed my browser from IE9 to Google Chrome. Now I only have to log in to this website one time. So, it looks like the problem may be more related to which web browser is being used than it is to WCN. As a side note, Chrome is much faster than IE9 also and Chrome will play all the news videos which IE9 had trouble with. The only drawback I am having with Chrome is that the zoom has to be reset from 100% to 125% (so I can see the type) every time I log on, whereas IE9 stayed set wherever you selected all the time. Anyone know a solution to that?

I've changed nothing and in the past couple of days, I've only logged in once for the first time ever I believe. IOW, I'm still using the same 2 browsers and still clearing cookies every week or so.

Since I switched to Google Chrome I have only logged in one time. I have stayed logged in for over two weeks now without having to do anything.

^ Chrome does seem to be better about keeping you logged in. I don't normally have to log in when I use it. IE is a different story. Almost always have to log in using it.

I have been logged out occasionally using Chrome.

Another issue I have - I have to go back to the forum to see new posts. Ex. if I am in a game thread and hit refresh to see new posts it does not update. I have to go back to forum menu and re-click on the thread I want to see.
